Godafoss and a rest
I finally left Dalvik and went shopping having planned out what to cook for the next few days although I forgot that bonus opens at 10. I did a test charge using the on power chargers as there's no supercharger near Myvatn where I'm heading. That went well so we should be fine.
Anyway on to godafoss which is a magnificent waterfall, thundering away.
It's really quite stunning. There's rather a lot of tourists there but it wasn't so bad this late in the season at least.
The plaquard tells of how it got it's name. Apparently the leader has to choose whether Iceland would adopt Christianity. He decided they would so the ceremoniously dumped all their heathen statues into this waterfall where they were presumably pummeled to smithereens. So it was named god's waterfall.
It wasn't just sunny today but actually rather warm so I went off to camp and just read my book in the sun. The camp has nice secluded sections and you get over search one each.
